Law enforcement officials with Waldo County Sheriff's Office reported the following recent activity:

Deputy Darrin Moody responded to a crash on Curtis Road in Swanville at 6:56 a.m. Mary Lou Melton, 57, of Belfast was driving north when a deer ran across the road and struck the front driver's side fender. The 2014 Honda SUV sustained minor damage in the collision. Moulton was not injured.
